Winners & Losers to air on ITV2

ITV has picked up both series one and two of Seven's feelgood drama for its digital channel ITV2.

Feelgood drama Winners and Losers will screen on UK digital channel ITV2 next year.

ITV has picked up both series one and two of the Seven drama and expects the show to debut the show in Spring 2012.

Angela Jain, ITV Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions, said: “I am delighted we have bought Winners and Losers for ITV2. It’s a quietly addictive drama with a distinctive Australian charm that I hope will become a weekly treat for our viewers.”

The deal was put together by FremantleMediaEnterprises (FME), the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia which has the distribution and home entertainment rights outside Australia and New Zealand.

Justin Hatfield, SVP Sales, UK, Eire & Scandinavia, FME, said, “Winners and Losers has been a storming success in Australia, attracting fans, smashing ratings, and establishing its position as a leading drama. Since FME’s global drama strategy launch two years ago we have supplied many top international dramas to global audiences, and we are delighted to beworking with ITV2 on launching this fantastic series to UK viewers.”

  1. This is great news.. I love Wesley and Bridget.. they are my favourite! Go Winners and Losers, quality Aussie drama. Now my family can share the love in the UK!

  2. About time they got this in the UK.Over there from memory when I went in June they only have the disgustingly middle aged by comparison Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives and nothing for the younger generation who are over the OC type shows from the last decade.
