Hugh Jackman tops fave celebrity list

Viewers pick our Hugh as tops in likeability, skill, appeal as a role model and in audience awareness.

Sorry Karl, you may have a Gold Logie, but an online survey Nine has conducted with 2800 viewers doesn’t rate you that high.

Asked to rate celebs on their awareness, likeability, skill as well as how they rate as role models, viewers chose Hugh Jackman as the pick of the bunch. What’s not to love?

He was followed by Rebecca Gibney.

The top Nine personality was 81 year old cricketing legend Richie Benaud. Respect!

1 Hugh Jackman
2 Rebecca Gibney
3 Cate Blanchett
4 Richie Benaud
5 Dr Chris Brown
6 Nicole Kidman
7 Hamish & Andy
8 Miranda Kerr
9 Magda Szubanski
10 Simon Baker

Stefanovic didn’t make the cut of the Top 40 but Today‘s Georgie Gardner did.

The last time the industry-researched ‘Q Scores’ were made public, Hamish Blake topped the list. But the data was drawn on April 2010 research.

1. Hamish Blake
2. Andrew Denton
3. Rebecca Gibney
4. Michael Caton
5. John Clarke
6. Ernie Dingo
7. Toni Collette
8. Jennifer Hawkins
9. Adam Hills
10. Magda Szubanski

You can read the Top 40 results from Nine’s survey at the Daily Telegraph.

  1. I was suprised Karl Stefanovic made the top 40.He rates very low on my list as you can see a nasty guy lurking underneath the “false” laughter he does on a regular basis..

  2. I like Hugh but gee he’s looking orange in that photo. And I’m pleased to see Cate Blanchett scoring so highly after all the tabloid crap she copped from certain media outlets this year. (Yes, News Ltd, I mean you)

  3. Poor Hamish, now that he gets lumped in with the much less funny Andy he falls off the top! And Richie Benaud, oh yeah – he’d make a great first President of Australia 🙂
