Oops. Sunrise snigger in live cross.
Who was the Sunrise colleague this morning who couldn't stifle a snort when they crossed to David Koch in Rome?

Ok, hands up …. who was the Sunrise colleague this morning who couldn’t stifle a snort when they crossed to David Koch in front of Hadrian’s Temple in Rome?
“This little thing was built about 2000 years ago,” Kochie told us.
That was enough to set someone off….
And note to self: must wear tie for important news.
Exec Producer Michael Pell clarifies: “It wasn’t a snigger. It was a sneeze. And it came from Nat.”

Correction: “It was a snigger. It came from Nat.”
Sounds more likely. I like that woman’s sense of humour.
@Bonrad,
Aussie news media (esp. on the commercial networks) has a very short attention span, that’s all. If you check any of the European media, it’s still a major story. Italy’s 10 year bond rate has just passed 7% which is the level that tipped Ireland, Greece and Portugal into financial crisis.
Why does the live cross looked pre-recorded
Kochie is the reason I don’t watch sunrise. He us such a bore.7 do the right thing and retire him.
I also get the felling they are using Kochie’s absence to trial 3 co-hosts too see if it can work. So far it’s working great and I think it may just become permanent next year.
Michael Pell Exec Producer was going to have 3 co – host, But I don’t think he had support to do that. I think this is (the 3 co-host) is a test to see if it will work and be good, So Far, So Exellant, 3 Co-Host is Fantastic! Hope Sunrise and Ch7 consider it permenatly.
@ Dave
They must be grooming one for the cull?
Rome is very nice…nothing to be sneezed at!
Pay that.
@Lee – I can’t believe I’m going to stick up for Kochie but he is most def standing in front of what remains of the Temple of Hadrian. The Pantheon does not have other buildings next to it and has only 8 columns, not 15. Most obvious of all is the low triangular roof to the portico which is clearly absent in the above video.
@ryaneco – I concur with Mule; all that remains of the Temple of Hadrian is that one partial wall behind Kochie, whilst the Pantheon is much more substantially complete. I do hope you didn’t miss it.
Perhaps Media Watch could ask why a junket in these times of financial crisis? Please! Don’t pretend it’s to cover the news.
@Lee
That Is Not the Panthenon.
No, that is definitely Temple of Hadrian. The Pantheon is a couple of blocks from there and much more impressive (IMO). I hope you didn’t go all the way to Rome and miss the actual Pantheon because you thought this way it!
It sure looks like the Pantheon to me……..at least thats what it looked like last time I was there ;P
It looks like Kochie has missed the boat on this story. Last week the euro crisis was all over the news – not so much this week.
some would say that Kochie’s reports are just useless drivel….I would say that he has single handedly resolved the whole euro crisis….
Nice excuse for David Koch to fly off to Rome.
It makes me snigger every time I see his reports on the European crisis from all the tourist sites in Italy.
I like the 3 co host format. It works better I think. Nat is always sneezing but she was probbaly laughing because Kochie convinced the team it was a great idea to go over to eurpe to cover the troubles.
They were giving him a list of things for him to buy them in duty free.
Nice work if you can get it!
Hadrian’s Temple? It’s much smaller and a ruin, much like the Italian economy.
The temple was erected around 118 AD by one Publius Quintilius, a name which might cause some amusement.
Kochie is standing in front of the Pantheon which was built by Hadrian between A.D 118 and 125. It was a temple to the Pagan Gods. Built by, not named after, a subtle difference.
Did he go over for the financial crisis??? very little of that more of a holiday and travelog
The bigger story is why their were 3 co hosts
