My Kitchen Rules “princess” set to become Reality villain

Minor Spoilers: A 25 year old South Australian on My Kitchen Rules will be the first to rile contestants and viewers.

Minor Spoilers: South Australian My Kitchen Rules contestant ‘Jennifer’ (pictured, right) is poised to become the villain in Seven’s hit cooking show.

The 25 year old is best friends with her teammate Leigh, 33, but in the show they are branded as ‘Florist & ‘Princess.’

Leigh says they have been friends ever since “this cute little princess walked in the door.”

Every good Reality show needs a villain and in MKR, Jennifer will provoke reactions from both contestants and viewers with her abrupt manner. Last year Tasmanian contestant Melanie Maddock drew online criticism and even death threats.

In the first episode it already looks like a catfight is looming between WA and SA teams.

Truckie Justine from WA says, “I thought they were very striking women, until she opened her mouth.”

Even Jennifer’s first comment about an Entree needing more salt draws scorn.

“The way she said it. Her rudenesss, her tone, I thought ‘What the hell, y’know? They’ve made a big effort,'” Justine says.

Jennifer later criticises a Dessert with home-made ice-cream.

“The ice-cream was a little bit eggy for me. I don’t know, is it just me? It was more like Custard,” she remarks.

WA Teacher Angela was equally unimpressed with her.

“Showed her ignorance there. Didn’t really know how ice-cream was made,” she says.

At first glance, producers have hit the balance between casting and editing.

Video footage of Jennifer as a ‘princess’ depicts her walking down the street, talking on her mobile phone and carrying a handbag and a tiny pooch. Very Reece Witherspoon.

Bangkok-born Jennifer is a devotee of Thai cuisine and works as a PA for her husband’s online betting business. But on MKR she’s the resident “Princess.”

The show is tipped to launch on Monday January 30 on Seven.

  1. What gives Jennifer the right to be so rude while being on the show with the New Zealanders……just one question for Jennifer are you perfect yourself ……I hardly think so insecure maybe by your behaviour ….

  2. i know it may seem Princess is annoying at times, but yeaahhh! She is definitely the spice in the show, it would be very boring if she is not around. In fact, the show might not even hit because of her. Its dull if everyone in the show agrees and there should be the one that contradicts to it so it adds a little thrill and bit of laughter.

    Go Jennifer Princess.

Oh my the way, she looked so flawless except for the small scar on the face, but everything she is very sexy. Love her.

  3. Hmm…..so the princess may well be a chef!!!!!that will have legal ramifications as folk weren’t meant to be “professionally” qualified chefs to be on the show…..yeah….. I think that’s right…… yeah….best to be honest from the outset……..

  4. A work colleague of my husband’s says he used to work with Jennifer – as a chef!!!!!!! so if this is right, she should bloody well know how much salt.

  5. That article on Adelaide now is the girls backpedaling! Reality tv highlights areas of a persons personality, and with Jennifer that’s being a princess. Both those girls need to learn how to deal with criticism. The show hasn’t even started and they are already blaming the show. If anything that article makes me hate them!

Look in the mirror girls, the producers can only use what u give them.

  6. I agree @Dan. I really wish the ‘reality’ genre got renamed. The contestants aren’t actors, but they are definitely putting on their own ‘characters’.

  7. I think the men from brisbane are cast as villians as well. But the villians dont seem to make it to far. Thats what was so great about Sammy and Bella last year. They just put there heads down and cooked great food and were pleaaent people. When they cook on sunrise they just seem so nice.

From watching the ads I hitnk its when she finishes off comments with a yeah that will annoy people. Even Manu just looks at her.

  8. I enjoyed the show last year, however, I hope the characterisations aren’t staged as the show will lose its appeal very quickly. I think most people can see through it and find it loathsome. Shows that fall back on staged drama tend to fail or end up on the scrap heap quickly. I prefer to see characters who are genuinely flawed.

  9. The ads make me cringe. Still it’ll be interesting to see this series. I wouldn’t call the truckie a real one. I saw one ad where they said she works in mines.

    Oh and *Reese 🙂
