Chaser boys to begin filming The Unbelievable Truth

Craig Reucassel, Andrew Hansen and Julian Morrow begin work on their new panel show for the Seven Network.

Craig Reucassel will begin filming new panel show The Unbelievable Truth for the Seven Network this week.

He will be joined by Andrew Hansen and Julian Morrow for the show based on the British panel show about truth and lies, by Graeme Garden.

The object of the game is to lie on a subject, whilst also trying to include the truth without being detected, and is based on an earlier radio format.

Shane Jacobson, Kitty Flanagan and Tom Gleeson will also appear as guests.

“The most bizarre fact in the entire series is that Channel Seven have agreed to make a show with us involved,” said Executive Producer Julian Morrow. “But I suppose it is called The Unbelievable Truth.”

Seven’s Head of Production, Brad Lyons said: “I liked it better when Seven was getting injunctions to stop these guys being on TV”.

But The Chaser’s move on to commercial TV does not spell the end of their relationship with the ABC.

Chas Licciardello debuts US political analysis show Planet America on ABC News 24 this week.

  1. a panel show on ch7 why do they even bother green lighting things like this when 3 weeks into its run itll yanked or bumped or shelved completely, they really dont have a good track record with things like this

  2. I thought they were going to do a scripted comedy next, guess that was too hard. So it seems they have fallen back on the security blanket for the untalented…panel shows.

  3. There maybe some legal issues around a UK airing of this, but I am a fan of the Chaser, and I like the format, so I will be interested to see how the two work together.
