Go Back to Where You Came From nominated for Rose D’Or

SBS' acclaimed doco is the only Australian production nominated in Switzerland's prestigious Rose d’Or Television Festival.

SBS’ acclaimed documentary series Go Back to Where You Came From has been nominated for a coveted Rose d’Or television award.

It is the only Australian production to receive a nomination amongst 36 international nominees. Go Back will compete with Connected (Israel) and Don’t Tell the Bride (UK) for the Factual Entertainment prize.

Very few Australian entries have been nominated in previous Rose d’Or festivals, held annually in Switzerland. They include: John Safran’s Race Relations, The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce, The Librarians, The Chaser’s War on Everything, actress Jacki Woodburne, and The Eternity Man -which won a trophy.

Go Back To Where You Came From, produced by Cordell Jigsaw, will also have a second season on SBS this year.

Other international nominees include Queen: Days of Our Lives, Eurovision Song Contest, Horrible Histories, The Cube, Pan Am and The Jury.

Rose d’Or winners will be announced in May.
