Lush House appeal in Federal Court

The saga of whether the LifeStyle Channel’s Lush House is a documentary or infotainment reached the Federal Court yesterday.

Funding body Screen Australia is looking to overturn an appeal won by production company Essential Media.

Screen Australia had ruled the show with cleaning guru Shannon Lush, was not a Documentary. It is fighting an appeal that the Administrative Appeals Tribunal because the move would set a precedent for other submissions.

Screen Australia is also contributing to the legal costs of Essential Media’s appeal.
