Big Brother has announced its hunt for housemates for the 2012 reboot on Nine and revealed a new "eye" logo.

Big Brother has announced its hunt for housemates for the 2012 reboot and revealed a new “eye” logo.

The show is returning to Nine later this year after several years off screen. To apply you must be 18 years old and an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. There is no upper age limit.

To apply you will need to answer such questions as:

Why do you want to be on Big Brother?

Sell yourself in 25-30 Words?

Have you previously applied/appeared on TV?

If so which shows? Is there anything else you need to tell us?

The original line about Big Brother: Secrets is now either off the table or under the radar.

You must also “promise that I will not make any statement or give any interview about Big Brother to any form of media outlet (including about my participation in the selection process) without the Producer’s prior written consent, regardless of whether or not I am chosen as a participant in Big Brother.” It’s standard across all Reality shows these days.

Amongst the FAQs the show is accepting previous BB applicants. It also notes that as the format dictates the Housemates do not know each other, “if you become ‘besties’ with someone in the line/audition and you both make the latter stages it could compromise your chances of becoming a Housemate.”

“We are looking for people who have warmth, intelligence, humour and no agenda,” says executive producer, Alex Mavroidakis. “It‟s the man on the street – the girl next door.”
“If you look at the most loved people on Big Brother – Chrissie Swan, Reggie, Fitzy, Sara-Marie – they all have one thing in common; they just put it all on the line and were embraced by the nation.”

Host Sonia Kruger adds: “Big Brother 2012 is a return to all that is good about the format – a mix of big event television, totally watchable Australians, engaging conversation and most importantly, humour.

BB 2012 will focus on what made the show most successful – people we simply love to watch.”

“The Housemate Hunt is a vital part of our process and will allow you to come to us and let us know why you would make the perfect Housemate,” adds executive producer, Alex Mavroidakis.
“A final word of advice: Do not try to second guess what we are looking for. The truth is, there is no Big Brother type. Be yourself, be engaging and you might just win us – and Australia – over.”

Big Brother is a project designed to observe and brainwash young minds. The crude behavior that occurs in the house is televised to brainwash young people into thinking that being rude, swearing, having sexual intentions, wearing indecent clothing, etc, is ok for the average family household. Open your ears and eyes people, this show is designed far from entertainment purposes. The government wants to air these type of shows to dumb down the masses for their evil reasons. But of course your still going to watch it, because all your friends are right??.. Be the wolf, don’t be the sheep.. (For those who don’t understand what I’m referring to, Google: the all seeing eye, or Illuminati, Zionism, Freemasonry, television brainwashing, bohemian grove.. do your research don’t let the TV tell you what to do)

I totaly agree with you 100% no dought about that. I personaly can’t stand msot young adult teens wanna be the next so what top model or wanna be a celebrity and make a foolish of themselfs. So they had the auditions going on for BNE and GC and most of these young 18ish of age are as bad as a 15 years old kid. People have to be themselfs… But people who carry on and scream or talk loud or jump around like a clown does not make them true themselfs. Im sure big brother would choose the more manners the more smarters and the more charms but not people who would be more like a clown jumping… talking about rediculours things. People would choose people with more manners. Thats the trick about trying to archive at wining the audition entries… No one would win just because one clown acts like it and makes it out they are true themselfs… Well one of it is that it seems that most young people where teach the very bad way at home. I wonder who the so what family types may be.

BB show be ready to start rolling, Hopefully dave would give us more updates. Again thanks to dave for letting this. I apoligies i type quite alot. I should learn next time to make it very short if posible. Take care

  3. Can’t anyone create something new and exciting?
If it has to return, I’d prefer randomly chosen “inmates” to auditioned ones. Tired of wannabe stars taking part as a stepping stone to a …”career”. Lets see how “real” people from different backgrounds get on behind closed walls.

No. There will defently not be another Uncut version of big brother. It happen before when big brother about. They quickly new they had issues with the uncut version and lots of people wanted to get rid of it for many reasons. So it wasn’t very popular but it did lasted all that season of big brother.

Now they are understanding that having Big brother uncut will not be any good at all. And you could see why there was alot of negative feedback when the uncut version was telecast. Due to the fact it was a new thing. Ones they rule it out… regardless its a all new come back big brother and on a different channel.. they now they will not bring back uncut version plus the uncut version was channel ten idea. Channel 9 can’t steal the idea.

However there would perhaps be something different. There is Big brother show. And perhaps a similar to a up-late big brother live on ch9 with some games to play. But it wont be as popular though. Now days you have to understand.. people have more channels on foxtel to flick about then falling asleep for a late night big brother show.

So there wont be no more Uncut version. however in the future whenever big brother comes back again like 20 years time perhaps they might bring some old epic shows such as uncut version… you now they come and go shows such thing.

  5. vos – the logo is based on the new UK version, so almost certainly the final product. I’m sure it’ll animate quite differently on screen and the colouring will probably change – but no reason at all to doubt that is the actual logo, even if it doesn’t look good enough to air on network TV.

  6. I know 100% this will defently not be the actual logo of big brother. As allways big brother wants to keep things anonymouse and secret until it shows on tv. So i know 100% this will defently not be the logo.. This logo is only basic for just the start for any ACA programa or such basic topic on big brother.

Remember i allreays new that the name (secret) was ruled out and i new right. So if you can believe me about this logo you will understand why i said this logo is only for basic.. Just for when there ever be a news related about big brother or such. But only its a basic because big brother show hasn’t even started so they will use a different design just for now that will not be a stolen trademark logo allready design by network ten preview years.

Thanks david. Just had to clear this one up. Not many people seem to trust on me about this. But when it does they will realise i was right all the way.
