Julian McMahon for US teen spy series

Julian McMahon is in final negotiations to star in a teen spy drama for FOX alongside Angela Bassett.

The series from Bones‘ Karyn Usher, revolves around Jane Forsythe, the orphaned 14-year-old daughter (Saxon Sharbino) of a CIA operative who encounters a mysterious rogue agent/assassin (McMahon). The agent ultimately serves as both her surrogate father and spy mentor.

Bassett would play Alice Vargas, the director of the CIA.

Meanwhile ‘Mr. Everywhere’ Alan Dale will play Emperor Dorian in the ABC pilot of Beauty and the Beast, joining F. Murray Abraham and fellow Aussie Chris Egan.
