Friday May 4th is International Star Wars Day and ABC3 marks the occasion with the premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars series 4.

It will kick off with two episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Battle Lines, as the Jedi Knights and their clone army are met with strong resistance from the massive Separatist droid army.

Episode 1: Water War – Friday, May 4 from 7.00pm
During this first episode viewers are treated to the spectacular and previously unseen ocean plant of Mon Calarmari.

When the king of Mon Cala is assassinated, talks break down between the Mon Calamari people and the Quarren, co-inhabitants of the aquatic world. To stop a civil war, the Republic sends Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, but unbeknownst to them, the Quarren are already being backed by the Separatists. Now the Jedi must protect Mon Cala’s new leader, the young Prince Lee-Char, from the attack.

Episode 2: Gungan Attack – Friday, May 4 from 7.20pm
Things look bleak for the Jedi, clones, and the Mon Cala, as they retreat to underwater caves following surprise Separatist attacks. Seeking to crush all hope of resistance, the evil Riff Tamson targets Prince Lee-Char. Jedi Master Yoda, unable to summon more Republic aid, turns to the powerful, amphibious Gungan army. But will they arrive in time and are they strong enough to break the Separatist siege?
