SBS TWO has scheduled a special broadcast of the Jimmy Little Memorial Concert for Thursday night.
Jimmy Little Memorial Concert
On Monday, April 2nd, Jimmy Little, one of the most significant contributors to Australian music and the Australian-Aboriginal political landscape, passed away. To celebrate Jimmy’s life, family and friends will come together to honour in story and song the extraordinary contribution this Yorta Yorta elder has made to the cultural life of Australia. Artists including Col Joye, Judy Stone, Archie Roach, Lou Bennett, James Henry and Paul Kelly, to name a few, will pay tribute to Jimmy’s amazing sixty year legacy as an artist, performer and champion for his people.
It will air at 9:30pm.
A movie Napola follows at 11:15pm.
UPDATE: ABC News 24 has the State Funeral live at 9:30am on Thursday and so does NITV (rpt 8:30pm).
