TEN is presumably so keen to put to end the fears about its upcoming “Dramality’ series The Shire that it will soon air a ten minute sneak peek, The Shire Revealed.
You’ve seen the headlines, you’ve heard the shock jock radio DJ’s –now see what all the fuss was about! We’re taking the audience behind the scenes for a sneak peek at the new series “The Shire”.
It seems very early to be screening such scenes (especially if the show is coming post-MasterChef) but TEN has seen two other projects filming in the area and it’s important to reverse some of the reactionary press given to the show.
This will air at 8:20pm on Wednesday May 16th.

This could be the next Sylvannia Waters. Oh sorry that’s the Shire too isn’t it? If people don’t act badly then the show won’t hit the screen at all. Where there’s smoke etc. Surely participants know by now what’s expected or manipulated (on your behalf). Sounds like a hit to me.
is this going to end up like another ‘Class Of’ which gets promoted amid Masterchef hype and then never heard of again?

In the US Jersey Shore manages to get better ratings and more points in the key demos on cable then some shows on the big Free to Air Networks like NBC and FOX.
If TEN do it right and have MC as a lead in, it could do very well.
When this tanks and Ten yanks it after 2 weeks i’ll be the first to say i told you so. Do they even ask viewers what they want? This sounds like gutter trash and Ten are kidding themselves if this is their great hope.
