Out west they make footy shows too, including WIN’s home-grown Off The Boot, WA’s only dedicated country footy program.

Out of curiosity, if anybody has seen this show, how does it compare to the rest?

Hosted by Mark Readings, Karl Langdon and Tyson Beattie, Off the Boot casts an expert eye over what’s happening in WA country football.

This week former Western Bulldog Jayden Schofield from Geraldton talks about why he left the AFL and his desire to return to the top flight. A must-see interview for all aspiring country footballers on the hard road to AFL success. This week’s Landmark Local Legend is Corey Moylan from the Kellerberrin-Tammin Footy Club. Tyson Beattie seems to be everywhere at the moment – is he the new Eddie McGuire? Plus football trickery with the “DMac” and all the results, news and action from country football around the state.

Send in your footage to win big in the weekly Retravision Goal of the Week and Belt Up Mark of the Week competitions with prizes valued at over $15,000. Plus the year’s biggest Landmark Local Legend will win the major prize of two tickets to the Sandover Medal plus an Ultimate Promotions package. Nominations can be lodged at [email protected] *

Wednesday, May 30 at 10.30pm and replayed on Saturday, June 2 at 5.00pm on WIN.

  1. OMG, regional programs do exist. Being in a WIN-territory in NSW I haven’t seen it, but it surely could not be worse than the Nine efforts.
At least WIN has local news in regional areas, abandoned by SCTEN and Prime in favour of radio-news 20-seconders.
It sounds good. I hope it is, encouraging and promoting young, regional AFL.
