The Rafters rift

Packed to the Rafters triggers a major storyline that sees the show return to form.

It’s been under fire this year, with complaints that the storylines have been mediocre and the cast are heading for the exit door.

But next week Packed to the Rafters triggers a major storyline that sees the show return to form.

And it all revolves around one brief moment….

If you’re invested in the lives of Julie and Dave Rafter this will be one to watch.

Julie admits to Donna that she’s had a recent raunchy dream about Adam but denies anything is wrong in her marriage. Questioned by Ted, Dave also comes to the same conclusion. But alone that night, Julie and Dave argue yet again, this time about who will babysit Ruby, as Julie has a movie premiere with Adam and Dave is taking his employees away to a seminar. When Julie can’t go to the premiere, Adam drops by later that night, and Julie is primed for some easy company after the tension with Dave. They chat for hours, discussing life’s journeys and confiding a few secrets. Julie maintains it’s all very innocent. Dave, too, is up for a big night, drinking until the small hours with his team. And then one brief moment threatens to destroy everything.

8:30pm Tuesday on Seven.

  1. It’s Rubbish.I only ever watched back in the day before Two Broke Girls and the relaunch of Two and a Half Men came along as an alternative to those annoying Top Gear Hosts and their show.I have no interests in crime shows aimed at the feral/bogan/baddie market and whatever offerings ABC and SBS show currently.

  2. I think it’s hilarious how they use ‘The Kiss’ in their advertising. Like the footage and the ominous voice over don’t advise you already.

Do any other shows actually market events so literally in their advertising?

  3. This storyline actually proves what we already suspected…that this show is just a no frills soap with absolutely no class whatsoever…time to pull out the axe…..
