  1. Still annoyed Parenthood is not getting any Emmy love.

And it’s good to see an awards show on FTA, pity its not live, you’ll get all the highlights in the evening news… thank god I have Foxtel. Not that I’ll get to watch it live this year but at least I have the option to record and watch it add free when I want.

  2. It surprises me that shows like Criminal Minds, Bones and Castle are always overlooked. CSI and Law and Order: SVU used to garner some nominations, but they’ve fallen out of favour, too. I wonder how long it will be before the Modern Family cast agree to put themselves forward as Lead Actors? The Friends cast did this after a few seasons, although they didn’t have four very talented kids heavily involved in the show, so they might be happy to stick with the Supporting Actor category. Very happy that ELEVEN is broadcasting the awards!

  3. I would argue that Revenge is not overacted but is just done in the style of a big budget melodrama. I think they did a tremendous job of keeping the show going at a great rate of knots for 24 episodes.

I’m hoping Mad Men gets best drama. It’s 5th season was the best and the other four all won 🙂

I shall be watching the golf (hate award ceremonies) but will google the results.

  4. Deedeedragons: James Van Der Beek stars as a fictionalised version of himself in Don’t Trust The Bitch In Apartment 23, a comedy on the American ABC network. He and the entire cast are wonderful

  5. Wonder if Nokia will be promoting the Lumia 920 this year and banning Apple and Samsung from the red carpet?

This is the first time in years I won’t be able to watch it live, might record it on MyStar or just watch the highlights on the evening news.

  6. Just because a show is popular doesn’t mean it garners critical acclaim.

I enjoyed the first half of Revenge but the overacting became annoying to the point I couldn’t watch any more.

Madeleine and Emily are the only two decent actors there IMO.

That said, should see some very interesting results, am looking forward to seeing who they reward. Some real quality shows and actors nominated this year in most categories.

The one shoe-in that I can see is Claire Danes getting Best Lead Actress for Homeland. Noone else comes close.

Best Drama probably goes to Homeland too. Really enjoyed it.

Hard to go past Bryan Cranston for Best Lead Actor. Such an awesome show. But perhaps they’ll want to reward Jon Hamm this year?

Would actually like to see Joanne Froggart win for Best Supporting Actress, but hard to see anyone but Christina Hendricks winning.

Modern Family will probably win Best Comedy too. Although I enjoyed Veep and am a massive Curb Your Enthusiam fan.

Larry David winning Best Actor for Curb Your Enthusiasm would just be awesome, but not likely to happen.

I could go on, this post is probably long enough 🙂

  7. Silly question and I might have missed it but why isnt Revenge in there for an award and there actors.

Also I thought Kaley Cuco would be nomintaed in the for TBBT.

  8. So with ELEVEN’s airing being four hours long, that must mean that they are airing the whole thing. Correct me if I’m wrong but last year, they condensed four hours worth of stuff into two and a half hours.
