The LifeStyle Channel has renewed reality series Come Dine with Me Australia for a fourth season.

There appears to be a format change for the Granada Media Australia series, switching from 20 x 30 min episodes to 5 x 60 mins.

It will air in early 2013, two years after Season Three.

Granada and The LifeStyle Channel are searching across Australia for the host with the most, so if you think you can handle the heat in the kitchen and throw the best dinner party then log onto .

Come Dine With Me Australia sees everyday Australians battling it out for the title of the ultimate dinner party host. Television and radio presenter James Valentine narrates the series, seasoning each episode with witty observations and unique commentary.

“We love a summertime dinner party at LifeStyle, so what better way to show it than with a new, warm weather commission of Come Dine With Me Australia., For the first time, we’ve opted for one hour versions of the show, so this way Australians can get through the whole meal in one sitting,” said Duane Hatherly, General Manager, LifeStyle Channels and Head of Production Foxtel Networks.

The unscripted show follows amateur chefs competing against each other in hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each weekly episode, four total strangers take it in turns to cook up their idea of the perfect evening for the other three. Each believes they can serve up the best dinner party and hopes their unique style will clinch them the title of best host.

  1. The UK series has two versions – the standard 5×30 with 5 hosts, 1 per day – and then the 60 minute format which is 4 hosts over the one hour, which generally at some point are repeated with each host given a 30 minute episode.
