Ball Park Music, Delta Goodrem, Reece Mastin and Seth Sentry have been named as the four finalists in the Channel [V] Oz Artist 2012.

Fifty have finally become four in the fight for the heavyweight title of Australia’s favourite homegrown act in [V] Oz Artist 2012. The 2012 competition is already the biggest year ever with over one million votes from fans so far and today Channel [V] is amped to reveal the [V] Oz Artist 2012 Top 4.

Announced this morning on The Riff, cue the applause please for: Ball Park Music, Delta Goodrem, Reece Mastin and Seth Sentry! While all four are equally deserving of the Award, in just three short weeks, one of these super fine artists will be honoured as [V] Oz Artist 2012. So which one should it be? Brisbane five-piece Ball Park Music is riding the escalator to all that is golden having just released their sophomore album, ‘Museum’. Renowned for infectiously energetic live shows and pop song gems, it’s no surprise these guys have toured with the likes of Boy & Bear, Cloud Control and Hungry Kids of Hungary as well as played sets at Big Day Out, Falls Festival and Splendour in the Grass.

Pop star, Delta Goodrem has made a triumphant return to music this year with the release of her much anticipated fourth album, ‘Child of the Universe’ following a successful stint as a judge on The Voice. Her first single Sitting on Top of the World reached number 2 on the ARIA Singles Chart and Delta just wrapped an East Cost Tour to launch the album..

Reece Mastin has had massive year since winning The X-Factor at the end of 2011. His debut self-titled album entered the ARIA Album Chart at number 2 and was certified double platinum. He has just released a follow up album, ‘Beautiful Nightmare’, which saw him collaborate with the likes of Benji Madden. A massive national tour is on the cards for this talented young man in December and January.

Melbourne MC, Seth Sentry has spent years performing in the live hip hop scene and in 2012 he released his long-awaited debut album, ‘This Was Tomorrow’. The ground breaking body of work debuted on the ARIA Urban Albums Chart at number 6 to a long list of glowing reviews. The rapper performed a Channel [V] Guerilla Gig in Newcastle yesterday and it was recently announced that he will feature at 2013 South By Southwest music conference in Austin, Texas.
