Returning: Emily Owens MD

TEN is returning Emily Owens MD to Wednesday nights from next week at 9:30pm.

TEN is returning Emily Owens MD to Wednesday nights from next week at 9:30pm (NB: an earlier post indicating a replay for Puberty Blues was incorrect, apologies).

This means The Good Wife double eps returns to single eps.

Whilst TEN had planned to replay Puberty Blues, their scheduling was also affected by pre-emptions in the US.

  1. They may as well just keep playing Emily Owens over Summer. The Good Wife is now up to date, and will go on a month’s hiatus after 2/12, so I’m guessing Puberty Blues repeats will start then. They should play doubles when Emily Owens is unavailable.

  2. Looks like Ten decided to replace Emily Owens MD with double episodes of The Good Wife.

Except that they miscounted because doing so would leave them with a gap in the last week of ratings because the next episodes from the US wouldn’t be available. Not because there is a preemption.

So Plan B they went with Puberty Blues. But having shown and encored it recently that is highly risky and could damage the shows brand if only 100k people watch it.

So it is back to Emily Owens MD, which is odds on to be axed and thus of no future value.

    Deck Chairs Titanic…

  3. That’s weird. I had a Foxtel series link for the first airing of Puberty Blues so when I looked at my planner last night, Foxtel was ready to start taping it again from next Wednesday at 9.30.

    ???

  4. the US pre-emtions should not have affected ten, there would have been an episode available this week and next week, ten taking a week off was on them. a bizarre move imo.
