Sam Kekovich will front The Comedy Channel’s locally-produced version of Off Their Rockers, which in the US has Betty White.

Based on the Belgian series Benidorm Bastards, the eight-part hidden camera series sees outrageous senior citizens pranking much younger, unsuspecting members of the public.

The former AFL player, is known for his work in Meat and Livestock Australia commercials and radio work.

“We all need a good laugh, and that’s exactly what you get with Off Their Rockers. There isn’t a cooking utensil in sight which makes for a fresh change on television,” he said.

The Granada Media Australia series is filmed in Sydney and will launch on The Comedy Channel in January.
