ABC doco on Kakadu

ABC TV will screen a four part documentary series on Kakadu in 2014, produced as a co-production between Northern Pictures and Beach House Pictures of Singapore.

C21 reports NHNZ-backed Beach House and Northern Pictures will also produce a 10 part half-hour version for the international market.

ABC’s commissioning editor for science and natural history Karina Holden said the show would “deliver compelling characters, jeopardy-packed storylines and bring a freshness and contemporary feel to our wildlife slate.”

Beach House MD Jocelyn Little described the project as a “great model” for Singapore-Australian productions in the future. “Through the support of Screen Australia and the MDA we have a significant and unique collaboration between the two countries,” she said.
