Airdate: The City of Melbourne NYE Fireworks

Nine may have Sydney but Seven will be broadcasting the Melbourne fireworks to Melbourne viewers,

2012-12-29_2121While will be bringing Australia the grand spectacle of Sydney’s fireworks, Seven will be broadcasting the Melbourne fireworks to Melbourne viewers, including with special messages from Seven stars.

This New Year’s Eve Channel Seven will broadcast Live from across Melbourne’s best vantage points as we welcome in 2013 with special messages and performances from our favourite TV stars.

Hosted by Seven News’ Amy Parks and Nick Etchells, and joined by Coxy’s Big Break presenter Scherri-Lee Biggs at Treasury Gardens and sports reporter Tom Browne in the Docklands, the show will feature the best of 2012, before showcasing the City of Melbourne’s Fireworks Show at midnight.

Join us for a 2012 entertainment wrap from Nelson Aspen in Hollywood, Molly Meldrum’s music picks from the year, plus his predictions for what to listen to in 2013. Tom will present the Top Seven Sporting events which stopped Melbourne, and we’ll present a special feature from the production of War Horse which premieres on New Year’s Eve.

We’ll also present special New Year’s Eve messages throughout the evening from the stars of Winners & Losers and Packed to the Rafters, plus Andrew O’Keefe, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Chris Bath and Kerri-Anne Kennerley tell us what they’re most looking forward to in 2013.

Lord Mayor Robert Doyle, Melbournian of the Year Michael Gudinski and the Seven News team will also join us with messages to bring in the New Year.

The City of Melbourne NYE Fireworks 11.25pm Monday on Seven.
