Final ratings week is a cliffhanger

Ratings: The final week sums up the bigger picture: one race between Seven & Nine and another between ABC & TEN.

The final ratings week for the year seemed to sum up the bigger picture.

There were two races being fought: one between Seven and Nine and another between the ABC and TEN -and both were the stuff of cliffhangers.

Seven took out Total People by a whisker, as Nine’s Cricket saw it lift its overall performance. But Nine did win the key demos -which shadows how both will stack up for the year.

TEN came close to winning a week over the ABC but in the end fell short, summing up their post-Olympics performance.

  1. I for one am glad ratings have finished, now we can get some quality programming. I’m hanging out for “The Devil Wears Prada”. Any idea when that might be shown?

  2. @jezza the first original one – With TEN trotting out “27 Dresses” yet again this week, don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel for TEN, who will still be 4th given sport on 7 & 9, or TEN’s multi-channels, who were also beaten by all multi-channels except SBS.

  3. I think ch10 will do better during the non ratings period as people vary their tv viewing more widely with the minor and digital chs grabbing a bigger share.
