As expected US comedy Ben and Kate is no more, following reports the show was dropped from the FOX schedule.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that production on the series ended on Friday. The current episode will not finish shooting, and the final two episodes of its 18-episode order will not be completed. Six episodes remained, only three of which completed filming. Remaining episodes would be pushed to a later airdate.
The series, from creator Dana Fox (What Happens in Vegas), had especially modest growth after seven days of time-shifted viewing, growing just 21 percent in the key demo.
Ben and Kate’s cancellation comes on the heels of ABC pulling the plug on Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23, while  Happy Endings is under a similar threat.
It aired in Australia on TEN but struggled to gain a significant following.

It’d be a shame if Happy Endings gets cancelled. I was not surprised by Ben & Kate’s axing though
Not surprised. It was a stupid name for a show anyway. Every time I saw the name I thought of Ita Buttrose’s editorials in the Australian Women’s Weekly in the late 1970s where she talked about her children Kate and Ben.
Hope Happy Endings makes it!
