SBS’s international current affairs program, Dateline, returns for 2013 soon and begins by going inside the world of controversial Internet entrepreneur, and self-proclaimed defender of internet freedoms, Kim Dotcom.
Dateline’s Mark Davis (pictured) joins the 39 year old German-born millionaire in New Zealand, where he is fighting extradition to the United States on copyright and racketeering charges in relation to his file-sharing website, MegaUpload.
A year after US authorities shut down MegaUpload, Dotcom has launched a new service, Mega, in typically lavish and eccentric style, complete with a fake FBI raid and female dancers in military uniform.
In this special report, Mark Davis meets the man behind the bravado, as well as those who have helped him build his mega empire.
Tuesday, 12 February at 9.30pm on SBS ONE.

Hope Mark asks Mr Dotcom why his new mega.co.nz website is about as slow as watching paint dry….
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it will be an interesting i/v.
