SBS exec relocates to London

SBS Programmer Jane Roscoe has relocated to London to become Head of International Content.

2013-01-14_1845SBS Programming Executive Jane Roscoe has relocated to London to become the network’s newly-created Head of International Content.

Roscoe has been responsible for acquisitions and scheduling for SBS for many years.

She will now be liaising on the ground in the UK with local production houses on acquired content.

SBS is currently recruiting for a new network programmer, while Tony Iffland was appointed Director of Television last year.

  1. All the commercial networks have full time agents based in London. SBS competes in the advertising market and they are simply competing appointing someone in London (the added bonus being she understands SBS scheduling and personnel better than any other candidate)

  2. @bettestreep2008 – huh? If you watched SBS you’d know that they have advertising to generate revenue.

    Having Roscoe on the ground will allow her to be considerably more effective and efficient in doing her job. Sometimes there is no substitute for being in the same room as the people that you are communicating with. It will also permit her to be much more hands on when liaising with local producers.
