Seven rises in the west

Seven held a 2013 launch in Perth with MKR contestants and Seven CEO Tim Worner.

2013-01-31_1355Seven held a 2013 launch in Perth last night at Cottesloe’s Beach Club.

In attendance were Seven CEO Tim Worner, Seven Perth managing director Mario D’Orazio and Seven West Media chief executive Chris Wharton, MKR‘s Manu Feildel and Perth contestants Andi Thomas and Josh Maldenis and mother-daughter team Candice and Lisa Clarke, plus Seven’s Angela Tsun and Mark Gibson, John Burgess, former MKR contestant Daniela Pirone and local media.

X Factor champ Samantha Jade performed for guests.

WAToday.com.au reports MKR contestant Andi Thomas cringed over the “dating hipsters” label they had been given on the show, but said it wasn’t too strange watching the show back because “what you see on the television is what we’re like in real life, we’re not putting anything on”.

A showreel included 2013 highlights from My Kitchen Rules, Downton Abbey and Revenge plus House Rules and Celebrity Splash.

Given Seven completely dominates the landscape in the West, one can only presume it was a successful night for all.
