V8 Supercars return this weekend, starting new broadcast rights agreement with Seven.

2013-02-27_1330V8 Supercars return this weekend with the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on both Seven and 7mate.

This starts the new broadcast rights agreement with Seven, broadcasting all V8 Supercars racing on Seven and 7mate, including Bathurst 1000.

Seven’s coverage of the Clipsal 500 is hosted by Matt White with expert commentary from Neil Crompton, Mark Skaife and Aaron Noonan. In pit lane is Mark Beretta and Mark Larkham.

Live coverage starts from 2pm AEDT Friday (switches to 7mate at 5.30pm for Casey Stoner race), 1pm AEDT Saturday and 1pm AEDT Sunday.

  1. Wait a minute Casey Stoner is going to be in the V8s Dunlop Series and MotoGP as Stoner is expected to be in Phillip Island and possibly Motegi for MotoGP

  2. Good to see this return, just a shame it’s on 7 and not TEN. Hate how 7 is moving the program from the main ch to 7Mate when they feel like it, really hoped it would just be on Mate with the main races simulcast on the main channel.

    I thought it was a bit poor of Seven that they couldn’t find room for 30 mins of V8 Xtra on any channel last weekend to cover off all the driver and racing licence changes, and to properly preview the race and the 28 brand new vehicles (and 2 new manufacturers) that will be competing.
