HarveypIndustry and viewers have been sending their best wishes to Peter Harvey and family after reports he is “gravely ill.”

Harvey, 68, announced in October that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but has continued working, including recent appearances on Nine News and an interview with the ABC’s One Plus One.

Daughter Claire Harvey ‏tweeted: “Thank you to everyone for your amazingly kind messages to Dad. He is getting great care in hospital.”

  1. Pancreatic cancer is an absolute howling bitch of a disease. Almost impossible to detect early, it spreads quickly in the abdomen. Prognosis is rarely good.

    Perhaps the breast cancer awareness ‘industry’ could donate a few hundred million dollars. They could spare it considering how pervasive their advertising campaigns are.

    My father was diagnosed in January, he lasted 21 days. Miracles don’t happen often, but geez I wish Peter the very best. Either a full recovery or the least amount of pain…poor bugger
