Q & A: Feb 4

Q & A returns for an election year on Monday to ABC1 / ABC News 24.

18tjoQ & A returns for an election year on Monday and Tony Jones will be joined on the panel by:

David Bradbury– Assistant Treasurer and MP for Lindsay;
Christopher Pyne – the Shadow Minister for Education;
Amanda Vanstone– former Howard Government Minister;
Anne Summers – author and feminist;
Tim Levinson– hip hop artist, aka Urthboy.

With the election date now set Q&A will seize the opportunity of the next 32 weeks to get beneath the to and fro of party politics. Q&A will bring policy makers from both sides of politics face to face with the Australian citizens whose lives are shaped by their decisions and who’ll make the ultimate decision on who leads this nation.

The program will also hit the road to give live audiences across the country the opportunity to put their concerns and questions on the national agenda.

Executive Producer Peter McEvoy is looking forward to a year of robust debate: “Q&A celebrates five years on air in May. It was conceived as an adventure in democracy that would allow Australians to put their questions direct to the policy makers they elect – so the program is at its best at election time. We’re looking forward to setting the agenda and holding our politicians to account, while making sure that politics remains a participation sport.”

Q&A is simulcast live around the country on ABC1, ABC News24 and ABC News Radio. The Australia Network also broadcasts Q&A live into Southeast Asia and the Pacific at 9.35pm AEDT every Monday night.
