2013-03-08_0049FX finally premieres Transporter: The Series later this month, starring Chris Vance (Prison Break, All Saints).

Vance plays expert driver and “professional transporter” Frank Martin, a role that was originated on the big screen by Jason Statham.

In October 2011 he was injured on the set in Canada which shut down production and delayed the series.

Ex-Special Forces operative Frank Martin is The Transporter. He carries anything, anywhere, no questions asked and he’s acquired the driving, fighting and survival skills to make the delivery on schedule. Frank lives by three simple rules: 1. Never Change the Deal. 2. No Names. 3. Never Open the Package.

Wednesdays at 7.30pm AEDT from March 20.

  1. I was at a friends place last night and we watched what was supposed to be the first episode but it was not the first episode as reviewed by the Age “Green Guide” still very watchable though. Action plus all the way through. Not a dull moment. Just like the film !

  2. It’s been renewed for a second season so it can’t be going that badly compared to some other shows like Last Resort that barely made it through one season

  3. So this series was made by three different countries (Canada, France & Germany), airing the episodes in three different orders, and on varying dates – but all would have aired the entire first season before it even starts here on FX. That just screams sinking ship. Although the ads look terrific, and Chris Vance is a great actor, the way it has been treated by it’s own countries of origin doesn’t send a great deal of confidence to us about how it truely is. Not to mention, FX are meant to be the fast track kings (in the entertainment class of STV channels), especially given this was a listed show at FX’s launch over a year ago and it’s only just starting now. Will give the pilot a go but can’t see it going well.

  4. I guess if you like the movie you’ll like the series, all I know is just about every country that has aired it has shown the episodes in a different order. I wonder what order we’ll get LOL

  5. Is this show any good? Wikipedia has no “Reception” section or anything like that. Half the article is about what order different countries have screened the episodes.
