Brynne Edelsten is the latest name to be linked to Seven’s upcoming Celebrity Splash.
Yesterday 3AW Entertainment commentator Peter Ford revealed her as the second celeb, following Denise Drysdale’s name some weeks ago.
Today the Daily Telegraph adds current Miss Universe Australia contestant Renae Ayris, and comedian Adam Richard (hmm have we ever seen them in the same place at the same tme?).
It also claims the production will take place at Sydney’s Olympic Park, an interesting move given the Melbourne production teams have history producing shows like Dancing with the Stars and Australia’s Got Talent.
But at least it will be a tad warmer in Sydney. I’m still not convinced this show has legs during an Aussie winter….
The US version, called Splash!, premieres in the States tonight.

I agree with other comments that this will be a hit because it is on Seven.
If it was on Ten, it’d be a disaster like IWS and EDN were.
They have surprisingly good cast members for this show.
I’d say a good 100% better than recent DWTS cycles.
Absolutely hope this flops. This and bake off. Please, please, please…fail
@Mac: LOL! 7 knows exactly what they are doing here.
This show has a stench to it, it really should be airing on TEN – not Seven.
Brynne? Swimming pool? Trying so hard to bite my tongue from the sheer cornucopia of inappropriate comments…
I don’t see the entertainment value in having D-grade celebrities dive into a pool, I really don’t. Is Seven so cocky with their position in the ratings that they don’t mind letting a dud slip through the cracks?
Oh please.. remember, it’s on Seven so it’ll be on for months and it’ll rate its speedos off.. doesn’t matter how bad it actually is.
If it is a flip there will be no shortage of puns the following morning. The uk and dutch original version is only 5 episodes long, the producers obviously realise that it is a novelty that is only good in small doses, hopefully 7 don’t muck with that.
I smell a stinker a lá ‘Everybody Dance Now’.
