Bumped: The Amazing Race

TAR is moving on 7mate once again, the third timeslot this season.

2013-04-03_1343I keep forgetting The Amazing Race has been on Sunday arvos on 7mate.

But there’s no point in beating myself up over it because as of next week, it moves once again, the third timeslot this season.

It will now move to 6:30pm Tuesdays from April 9th.

Oh well. I can’t see myself remembering this timeslot any better.

Sorry Phil!

  1. And it doesn’t look like they do an encore like Go do with Survivor. And they even had a Survivor marathon over Easter showing all the eps that had aired so far if anyone had missed them. 7Mate should do the same thing with Amazing Race. They are putting it up against their own Today Tonight, as well as A Current Affair, The Project & Neighbours, all popular shows. Whoever made this decision should be sacked!!!!!

  2. Didn’t even realize it was on. I have been watching it by other means. Perhaps I have given up on FTA? Almost, at least Go! are still showing Survivor at a reasonable time.

  3. It shouldn’t be so hard to accomodate The Amazing Race on a digital channel. Show it a few days after the US and give it a stable primetime slot (and not on a Sunday!)

I never thought I’d say this but Seven should take a page out of Nine’s book – Survivor fasttracked on GO! same day as the US, repeated 11am next day and on the weekend.

  4. Crap! I only found it last weekend myself. Amazing Race would have to be 1 of my all time favorite reality shows (with Survivor & The Block Idol & The Voice the others).
Seven what the hell are you doing Sunday 5.30 is the best timeslot,

Leave it alone & please can you at least advertise it a little.

  5. I agree with the comments! I don’t get why 7 promote swap people and other shows but not TAR. Bumping a show is never a good sign, but the original timeslot was way too competitive.
Note to programmers: consider viewers and other shows already on and try to pair them or not compete with your existing channels!
You make it seem really hard!!

  6. The ep that aired in the US this week, episode 7, will be shown on 7mate next Tuesday (April 9) at 6.30pm. Episode 8, which airs in the US on April 14 local time, should then be shown here on April 16, meaning we should be 2 days behind the US.

  7. The Amazing Race is on a week’s break in the US due to CBS showing the Academy of Country Music Awards show this Sunday & it will return on Sunday April 14th. So if 7mate in Australia don’t skip a week, we should be only be less than 2 days behind the US, by the time the episode on Tuesday April 16th comes around.

  8. This completely f***s me up. I already tape shows at 6.30 on weeknights, it’s a really busy time for taping. I liked it on Sunday afternoons as I could watch it live and there was nothing on at that time. Is there an encore of it on another day like Go do with Survivor?

  9. Seven just don’t get it, do they? TAR would be a winner for them (in multichannel terms) if they put it on 7mate at 7:30 or later and actually promoted the thing.

Serves them right it has bombed at ridiculous times like 5:30pm on a Sunday. As you, David, and Bella said you never remember to watch it. You’re not the only ones I can tell you!

  10. I forgot to watch it the other week and I couldn’t watch it last Sunday and it looked like a good ep.

Thanks for letting us know the new day and time. It actually suits me. I still wish they would repeat it on Seven at some point during the week or have a Sunday marathon of all the episodes from this season.
