ABC1 finales for Tractor Monkeys, Elegant Gentleman

Tonight may be the last ever episodes of these ABC1 comedies.

6monktTonight may be the last ever episodes of ABC1 comedies Tractor Monkeys and The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting.

Both have season finales tonight at 9pm and 9:30pm respectively.

Guests for Tractor Monkeys are Mel Buttle, Matt OKine and Celebrity Splash survivors Adam Richard and Denise Drysdale.

Both shows were bumped from their original timeslots a few weeks ago, which suggests the chances of a renewal are slim.

Next week ABC moves Qi to 8pm as Adam Hills Tonight returns at 8:30pm. At 9:30pm there is a one-off episode of Would I Lie To You?

  1. I quite liked ‘Tractor Monkeys,’ most of them were laugh out loud funny. It must be inexpensive to make, I’m surprised it had so few episodes; ‘Spicks and Specks’ usually ran for most of the year.

  2. I like Tractor Monkeys. Ok, its not the best show in the world but it is only meant to be light entertainment.

But, yes Elegant Gentlemen is pathetic and I usually like the bulk of ABC comedy – not this for sure.

  3. I agree Stan. By far the funniest aspect of ‘Knife Fighting’ was the title. The content was awful, so painfully unfunny to watch that it made me angry that taxpayers’ money, our money, had funded it. A major failure for the ABC.

  4. It’ll be a shame to see Tractor Monkeys go, but I can’t say the same about The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting. The only original thing about that show was its title.
