Singer Adam Levine is in the spotlight in the US after muttering “I hate this country” during a Live broadcast of The Voice.
The words were picked up by his microphone during the elimination round of the show and America’s verdict was being announced by host Carson Daly.
Levine issued a statement, saying: “I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration. Being a part of The Voice, I am passionately invested in my team and want to see my artists succeed. Last night’s elimination of Judith and Sarah was confusing and downright emotional for me and my comments were made based on my personal dissatisfaction with the results. I am very connected to my artists and know they have long careers ahead, regardless of their outcome on the show.”

Out of curiosity; why should “Delta and co” take note? just curious…
Does not mean anything, could have been complainng about red tape, naviety etc etc
Something tells me only the fly over states get annoyed by trivial things like this.
He also put up dictionary definitions for the words, joke, humourless, light hearted and misunderstand on his twitter account.
Couldn’t believe how drawn out the announcement was. Brings back the days of Australian Idol.
The rest of the world would agree with you, Adam.
Storm in a teacup. Not a patch on our Eddie McGuire shambles.
Not surprising Americans usualy overeact to every little thing which is construde as anit american. Although Adam should have been aware that there were microphones all around the studio.
