$4m raised at Gold Telethon

Nine raised $4,020,177 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital yesterday.

goldtelNine raised $4,020,177 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital yesterday, up from $2.6 million in 2012.

The final tally was also higher than the target set at $3.6m.

The NSW event, broadcast from 9am – 4:30pm included appearances from Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson, David Campbell, Sonia Kruger, Cameron Williams, Deb Knight, Peter Overton, Ken Sutcliffe and Tracy Grimshaw.

The Voice coaches Ricky Martin, Joel Madden, Seal and Delta Goodrem also appeared as did new Australia’s Got Talent judge Geri Halliwell. There were performances from Emma Pask, Mahalia Barnes, Andrew De Silva and Daryl Braithwaite -complete with Lisa Wilkinson on backing vocals.

In the phone room were such Nine faces as Jesinta Campbell, Gary Sweet, Rhys Muldoon, Natalie Saleeba, Geoff Huegill, Gail Elliott, Shelley Craft, Peter Sterling, Casey Burgess, Mario Fenech, Jeff Fenech, Richard Wilkins, Ben Fordham, Peter Berner, Sam Moran, Kym Johnson, Peter Everett, Prue Macsween and Roxy Jacenko.

  1. I am from Melbourne and was shocked to see this total. Melbournians give like 4 times that amount during our charoty day and we have less people…..doesnt sound impressive at all
