Cult US sketch comedy Portlandia has been renewed for not one, but two, more seasons.
The fourth and fifth seasons will both have 10 episode and air in the US in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
The series sees Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein parody the local quirkiness of Portland through a variety of eccentric characters.
“Portlandia has celebrated sustainable local agriculture, underemployment, avian crafting, gender politics, intense bicycle messengers and so much more,” said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of Independent Film Channel. “We can now celebrate two more seasons.”
The show is currently airing in Australia on ABC2.

I don’t think they’re going for the laugh-a-minute factor. More like amusing observations of inner-city hipsters.
It’s not laugh-a-minute but I enjoy it. You have to get past some of the regular characters who are just so unlikeable.
I’ve tried so hard to get into this show but just don’t find it funny. So many of the sketches are a poor idea to begin with and the longer they try and draw it out to make it funnier, the less funnier it actually becomes.
This is one of my favourite shows right now!
