2013-07-29_2119Seven’s new entertainment show SlideShow, in which comedians compete in parlour games and slip on a huge sliding set begins next week.

Based on a French format, it will feature Cal Wilson and Toby Truslove as weekly team captains.

A spontaneous show which sees two teams of Australian personalities compete in a series of improvisations each week. It’s loud and fun – with hilarious results! Hosted by Grant Denyer, teams will have to improvise songs, dances, mimes and sketches under the each of team captains, acclaimed comedians Cal Wilson and Toby Truslove. Tonight, Australia’s funniest refugee Anh Do and teen heartthrob Johnny Ruffo take to the tilting stage.

7:30pm Wednesday on Seven.

  1. @chelanxar – I think all your experience shows is that it prob works live. I think that after the first night of curious people tuning in this will bomb like that celebrity diving show that Seven had.

  2. This sounds like it came from similar creative brains as Nine’s ‘Hole in the Wall’.
Seven may want to take a look at how well that show did…

  3. Finally!

As somebody who went to 5 tapings, I can tell you it’s hilarious! Can’t wait for it to start on TV 😀 Hopefully it gets a second season as well so I can keep coming back to more tapings 😀

  4. This looks woeful and yet another example of Sevens pursuit of crappy reality television. It didn’t help Ten and its gonna hurt Seven too. All they have is X Factor. They destroyed The Mole which could have been good once a week. But Formal Wars, Marry My Boy and now this, all will do badly for Seven

    And Grant Denyer?? Bad call.

  5. I thought X Factor was on next Wednesday at 7.30pm – that’s the impression that your previous story about X Factor moving to Sunday also gives?

  6. @bleachy_dude Agreed – I though Ahn would be a captain from the promo.

I don’t see how a 90 second sketch idea can be stretched out to full show.

How many times can people fall over and still be entertaining?

  7. Promos have killed it. Was giggle worthy the first time but the joke is already old. And grant is a major turnoff.

Interesting that it is in TGYH’s old slot.

  8. Am I the only one who thought early promos of this show made it seem like Anh Do was either the host or would at least be in every week. Not just a one week guest star?!?
