New commissioning editor joins ABC factual team

Catalyst series producer Matt Scully has joined the ABC TV Factual department as a commissioning editor.

Scully has been a producer/director with Film Australia in Canberra and Sydney, and series producer for Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens.

He has produced reality, entertainment, ob doc and art programs including the BBC format Honey, We’re Killing the Kids, plus Joker Poker, Stuart McGill Uncorked, Lock ‘n’ Load with R. Lee Ermey, and HG Nelson’s Bush Slam which he conceived and developed for the ABC.

ABC Head of Factual Phil Craig said, “We’re delighted that Matt is joining the factual team. At Catalyst, Matt has delivered some ambitious and ground breaking journalism in a television language that’s lively, modern and stylish. We’re looking forward to having his input right across our factual and documentary output.”
