Several readers have asked about a ‘missing’ Simpsons episode which TEN did not air during its current season.
This is S24 E17 “What Animated Women Want.”
TEN has advised the episode is rated M and cannot be broadcast at 6pm.
It doesn’t have any current openings to screen this episode so there are no immediate plans to screen it just yet.
Doh…

No current openings? I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it must be to fit a single 30 minute episode in among all of those sensationally rating shows that Ten’s schedule is packed with.
Too late. Sourced elsewhere….
they’ve aired a “mature” episode or 2 in an ‘adults only’ timeslot before, so I don’t see why they can’t/won’t do it for this ep.
I think the episode is more or less known for its Breaking Bad parody couch cag.
According to the description of the episode: Homer gets injured by a sex toy and has to go to hospital. Um… OK.
Thanks for finding out what Tens’ plans were, David. I really appreciate it. 🙂
I agree with @APM with putting it on Eleven on a Wednesday at 8:30pm. New Futurma will be airing 8pm Wednesdays which could be good promotion for it.
I am sure you will be able to catch it on FOX8 the Simpsons are on 894857348923837 times a day.
well actually there around 300 episodes a month..
why bother airing it on Ten in the first place in they are gonna do that? just air it on Eleven where it belongs on Wednesdays, and air a ‘special’ episode at 8:30.
The Simpsons episode where Moe hangs himself in his bar, and they revive him with the wrong Bee Gees song was edited by Ten – in the uncut version, he calls out for help and Homer etc who are sitting at the bar ignore him, then you see him hang himself. In the broadcast version, they’re all sitting at the bar, theres a thud, then they cut to Moe on the floor being helped by Homer & co.
I’m surprised by Ten’s response, considering they edit a number of shows so they retain the classification for their given timeslot. The Simpsons, Bold & Beautiful and Glee all spring to mind.
