2013-08-13_0126Spoiler. An incident in tonight’s episode of FOX8’s Australia’s Next Top Model has been described as a playfight that turned from “fun to serious” but has led to a contestant being booted from the series.

18 year old Taylah Roberts (pictured) has been cut from the series after choking Ashley Pogmore, 18, after throwing paint at each other in Broken Hill.

“It was getting really tight and I could just feel my neck hurting and I could feel my face going red and that’s when I’ve kind of wrapped my legs around her and then we’ve fallen into the bushes and she’s landed straight on top of me on my chest,” Pogmore told A Current Affair.

“We were laughing and then it got to that point where I don’t think she really realised her own strength.”

Roberts apologised for her actions.

“It’s just one of those things that just happened so quickly and once I’d done it, I knew that it was the wrong thing to do,” the model hopeful said.

Australia’s Next Top Model has a history of bullying incidents, which has seen it come under fire.

While the biggest question for the show may be having the scene filmed for content and once again used for publicity, at least Pogmore has emerged with a positive outlook.

“Obviously violence isn’t right and I’m not sitting here defending what she’s done, but I’m defending who she is as a person,” she said.
