2013-08-29_2338_001Lawrence Mooney wrapped up his first season of Dirty Laundry Live last night for ABC2 with the good news that the show will return in 2014.

ABC2 Channel Controller Stuart Menzies told cast and crew at the cast party that the show would be back next year with another 16 episodes.

Menzies said the idea for the show began with a discussion with Head of Entertainment Jennifer Collins at the Edinburgh Festival 13 months ago. It was developed by Mooney with Series Producer Peter Lawler and Executive Producer Tarni James.

The show hasn’t been without its share of controversy, mostly for some risque language, but it’s also found a rhythm on the off-Broadway channel instead of being in the primary channel spotlight.

Comedian Luke McGregor has also been one of the show’s finds.

  1. I share the like for Brooke Satchwell as well, didn’t know a whole lot about her apart from knowing she had been in a number of Aussie shows that I didn’t really watch, found her brilliant in Dirty Laundry … glad the show is returning.

  2. Great news, but agree re: Luke – was funny episode one, now it’s just cringy and pointless.

I hope Brooke returns to the show next season, her & Lawrence are gold together.
