Sarah Abo joins World News Australia

Former TEN reporter Sarah Abo has joined SBS as a reporter and presenter.

2013-08-12_0103Former TEN reporter Sarah Abo has joined SBS as a reporter and presenter.

She will regularly present World News Australia with Anton Enus during Janice Petersen’s maternity leave and reporting  from SBS’s Melbourne newsroom.

Syrian-born Abo was with TEN for five years, reporting from major crime scenes, Victorian bushfires and floods as well as historic moments such a Black Caviar’s final race.

Jim Carroll, Director of News and Current Affairs, SBS said: “Sarah is one of the finest young television journalists in Australia. She shows great versatility being able to cover complex issues and events and brings real personal warmth and connection through her live reporting and anchoring.

“She has excellent writing and reporting skills that will allow her to make an enormous contribution to SBS news.”

    I just want to thank the people on SBS World News. I appreciate the in general excellent summary of the events of the day. Including the rest of the world. Except for you know what I liked the News service. Including the people bringing the news. I will miss it.

  2. This isnt surprisng i was kind of wondering where she will end up. This is the second transfer of a journalist from TEN to SBS. Good news for SBS i guess.
