The “Gingerbread House” was renovated in 2010 by Winter, Charlie Albone, Shaynna Blaze-Vaughan and the Selling Houses Australia team and sold for $420,000.

On his Facebook page, host Andrew Winter said:

Very sad news! The house in Yellow Rock NSW featured in season 4 has been lost in the devastating Blue Mountain fires, virtually destroyed! We hope all is well with the family and if you live in this fire zone, PLEASE stay safe and to the Fire Fighters you are amazing and Australia thanks you.

I am told it is virtually the whole street gone, I recall the lovely young family next door, it is all too sad,” he said.

I remember that the vendors at the time were a lovely couple. Bob was a self builder who’d spent years working on that house and it was very unique,” he said.

One thing I also remember about the property was that while it was in a beautiful location, it was absolutely encased in bushland.

But that’s what the homeowner, and other residents out there, loved about it. And from memory the bush location didn’t hinder the sale at all.
