Airdate: Come Date with Me

19 months later TEN has finally scheduled dating / food series -on ELEVEN over summer.

2012-10-24_1232TEN has finally scheduled dating / food series Come Date with Me.

It will play on ELEVEN over summer.

Originally announced in April 2012 alongside I Will Survive, Don’t Tell the Bride and Everybody Dance Now, the show was originally touted as “a prime-time series for TEN’s upcoming schedule.”

The series, based on a UK format, sees singles on dates in home-cooking scenarios.

TV Tonight understands it was commissioned for 40 episodes and largely completed around twelve months ago.

It will premiere 7:30pm Sunday December 8 and continues Monday and Tuesday in the same week.

I’m not really sure how it well it skews to a youth audience, but playing the series on a multichannel over summer after months of inaction suggests the network doesn’t have a lot of confidence in the product.

Let’s hope it’s better than Yasmin’s Getting Married.

  1. This show will tank even on 11. They are just running it because they spent all that money producing it so they may as well air it. Confident we will not see it again. They had to air it sooner or later, should have aired it sooner. This really reminds TEN of the terrible decisions which were made by Lachlan.
