Rove McManus is back on Foxtel, at least for a special in which he joins Wil Anderson and Justin Hamilton to talk about life as a comedian.
Stand Ups Sit Down dives into the world of stand up comedy and brings you up close and personal stories about the people who make us laugh. Stand Ups Sit Down premieres exclusively Friday December 6 at 9.00pm only on The Comedy Channel.
In this special episode guests Rove McManus and Wil Anderson sit down with host Justin Hamilton at The Comedy Store in Sydney resulting in some hilarious tales and recollections of stand-up performances with flashbacks to previous shows and gigs.
Rove carved out his legend with Rove Live, and more recently with Rove LA on Foxtel’s FOX8. Wil cemented his reputation on the ABC with The Glasshouse and now the Gruen Transfer series. As fate would have it, both these Australian comedy legends find themselves in LA living out the next chapter in their careers.
Host Justin Hamilton is an Aussie comedian whose podcast Can You Take This Photo Please recently hit the top 20 downloads on Australian iTunes. Justin has friends all over the comedy world and can sit down with some of the biggest names in the industry.
In this Foxtel comedy special Rove and Wil enjoy a relaxed interview style while Justin treads the line between fan and friend to uncover outrageous and sometimes wicked tales.
Friday December 6 at 9.00pm on The Comedy Channel.

so wish Rove LA was on foxtel..it was the best interview show from the US
I Love Justin Hamilton!!! He’s so under-rated! His podcast (Can you Take this Photo Please) is great!
It’s little bits and pieces like this that make me wish I had Foxtel!
Sounds a little like The Green Room only maybe not as naughty.
@David. Thanks. 🙁 Pity. But guess he will be busy with new baby.
This might rate more than Wake Up.
Any word on Rove LA? It’s usually on by now so I assume he isn’t doing it this year…
No Rove LA. Was not mentioned at 2014 Upfronts and I have previously asked.
