Doctor Who deleted scene

Video: Here's a brief scene that was cut from Matt Smith's final episode of Doctor Who.

Must admit I wasn’t that enamoured by the Christmas special for Doctor Who, it seemed to lack the kind of jeopardy of previous specials.

But while I look forward to Peter Capaldi’s turn, Matt Smith has done a great job to succeed the remarkable David Tennant.

Here’s a brief scene that was cut from the special.

  1. Craig, the new series is scheduled for Autumn in the UK, ending with the next Christmas special. So I guess we will see it in September some time. There is the possibility of an Easter special, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

  2. @markstar – some said that about Matt after David left, I for one can’t wait for the next season. Any new on when its going to air?

@maxxdude – someone should have asked Santa for a PVR 🙂

  3. I thought Mr Moffat did really well tying up 11’s storylines and still threw a few curved balls- RE the God complex room. As for the regeneration, 10’s first regeneration was pretty short, and this life was given with the sole purpose of restoring Gallifrey- the regen didn’t need to be flashy. One of Matt’s best performances- I agree with Rach, the episodes need to be less convoluted and be able to stand alone as a story.

  4. I have watched it 3 times and still don’t feel, we actually got any real answers?

The Silence started out very creepy in series 6 ….. only to be genetically modified priests??? or some such.

Basically we have a huge arc thats starts in Smiths era and no answers, after 3 years. Then again I love Doctor Who but never expect much from the xmas specials.

  5. Agree, the worst ever regeneration episode, the only bonus the manic Matt Smith is now gone, his portrayal of the Doctor was way over the top even for Who. Hopefully the writing also becomes much less confusing and they stop trying to cram in so much in 40 mins.
