Returning: Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell

"New Government. Same show," but Shaun Micallef still finds plenty to get agro about.

11madShaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell returns for its third season on ABC1 next month.

“New Government. Same show,” notes the publicity release.

Returning with Micallef is the ensemble cast of Francis Greenslade, Roz Hammond, Veronica Milsom, Emily Taheny and Stephen Hall.

Back for a third season, this dose of salts for your weekly digest of news and current affairs is the cure for all that ails you; a panacea for the ills of the world and a vaccination against the general malaise and ennui brought on by existence itself.

Surprising, refreshing and invigorating, Mad as Hell remains funnier than 7.30, more informative than Tractor Monkeys and over twice as fast as Q & A.

8pm Wednesday, 12 February ABC1.

  1. I’m looking forward to this.
As FKlein says, with such an easy target as Tony Abbott, Shaun Micallef (and the Roast for that matter – also returning I hope?) should be on good form.

Of course, lampooning and criticising Abbott’s government is sure to attract accusations of bias from the right-wingers; will the ABC be permitted to give Shaun free rein?

  2. This season of Mad as hell is going to be so good. Tony Abbott is such an easy person to make fun of. So many opportunities for jokes to be made with that guy.
