The Block filming completed, work to start on next season.

Construction and filming has already been completed on the Albert Park premises and attention will soon turn to Prahran.

The Final 4 CouplesWithout My Kitchen Rules to spoil their party, The Block: Fan vs Faves managed to top Thursday night’s ratings at 1.22m viewers, for the first time this season.

The Herald Sun, meanwhile, reports, construction and filming has already been completed on the Albert Park premises and attention will soon turn to the next season.

As previously reported, an office complex in Prahran will be the location for 2014’s second season. Watercress Productions reportedly paid around $8.25 million asking price for a glass 1980s office building property at 121-127 High Street, Prahran.

Opposite Swinburne University, the glass-fronted complex is just minutes away from chic Chapel Street. It’s also the most high-volume traffic site the show has ever utilised, which will make filming and keeping secrets more challenging.

As the newspaper notes, most of the work will be done inside as there appears to be no outdoor area.

  1. I think the reason they do it in Melbourne is because there is a Strong High End property market there. The Producers know they’ll be able to sell the units and re-coup their costs.
Plus it makes for great telle. – remember the year they didn’t sell 🙁
