US frontman Bert McCracken from The Used will co-host a one hour special on Soundwave 2014 with the Channel [V] crew.

In just over a week, the colossal Soundwave tour will descend on Australia, armed with a lineup of some of the biggest heavyweights in rock, metal and punk. Channel [V] will be at the Sydney leg to cover all the action, with Bert McCracken from The Used joining the crew as co-host for the one hour special, Soundwave 2014, premiering Saturday, March 1 at 2pm.

It doesn’t get much bigger than Soundwave this year, with monster acts from Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice In Chains and A Day To Remember, to The Living End, Richie Sambora, Mastodon, Placebo and more, set to storm the stages. Channel [V] will be in the thick of the action, taking you from backstage to the pit as we get up in the face of the artists.

As frontman for US rock outfit The Used, Bert McCracken is accustomed to tearing up stages around the world at some of the biggest festivals and venues. The platinum-selling band has a legion of fans and are set to release their sixth record, Imaginery Enemy on March 28. Bert’s mixing things up and jumping into the host’s seat to interview the huge acts on this year’s bill, alongside the rest of the Channel [V] crew.
