Late List results: December / January

Here is the latest snapshot on shows that ran late over summer.

2012-09-05_1442With less premium content over summer I have merged Late List results for December and January into one post.

There were 38 entries filed by readers on the TV Tonight Late List, during this time.

Nine took top place over Seven, presumably with some overruns due to live sport by both.

Nine: 19
Seven: 7
TEN: 7
Other: 3
ABC: 1
SBS: 1
Foxtel: 0

Amongst the filed entries were:

Nine News Advertised time: 5:59pm / Actual 6:07pm
Person of Interest Advertised time: 8:30pm / Actual 9:16pm
Sherlock Advertised time: 8:30pm / Actual 8:58pm
Homes Under the Hammer Advertised time: 10:30pm / Actual 10:59pm
Escape to the Country Advertised time: 10:45pm / Actual 11:45pm
The Project Advertised time: 8:00pm / Actual 8:14pm

Now we are back into premium content, and Reality shows dominating early evening I expect numbers to rise again. I will have more to publish on EPG accuracy soon.

You can file an entry here.

NB: The Late List is a crowd-sourcing trial and is not scientifically conducted. It relies on the trust of readers to resource information.

  1. David do you think you could add an “over run list”.

The other night I was watching The Block and my IQ recording cut out, I guess it’s been so long since I’ve had to deal with nine and their tendency to over run their shows I forgot to record whatever was on afterwards. I’ve learned my lesson and will now remember to record everything after The Block

  2. What about 7 & 9 continually advising print guides of frequent To Be Advised at peak times, when we all know it’s going to be hours of repeats of whatever reality show they’re running at the time, or Big Bang Theory? e.g. on Tuesday 7 had TBA at 7.30, when any follower of MKR knows it’s on at that time. Or scheduling MKR for 1 hr when it’s always the best part of an hour and a half (mostly ads). It’s not as if they’re live!

Half the time the EPGs are blank as well. It’s well past time that some authority was re-instated over the networks, self regulation is just a farce.

  3. I was very disgusted about Channel 9’s programming during the non-ratings. Why do some television EPG guides were scheduled to be 7:02pm when the actuall starting time was 7:31pm? Due to the cricket coverage, Nine news has ran late for about 30 minutes. Channel Nine, you have ruined this summer of Television.
